Hi Folks,

I was working in Shotley today and called into the marina to say hello to Nathan.I have been following his blog and video with interest.He has busy making mods to the rigging in preparation for the next passage . We had a good chat and he is highly appreciative of the support he was recieved from east coast folks

He was looking for a cheap temporary mooring on the Orwell, and I guess any suggestions would be appreciated ,maybe Pinmill or Debages in New Cut may be possibilities

I think Nathan was enbarked on a fine adventure and I wish him a happy and safe trip .

Thank you Rob, it was a pleasure meeting you, yet another example of the kind of folk on the east coast.

I like to think I'm fairly good with words, but, genuinely, I cannot find any that do justice to the support I've received. I will, I hope, but it's a tough challenge /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Roach (some lengthy array of numbers), Tudor Rose, from this forum has offered me the use of his buoy near Pin Mill, so I'm all set... subject to finding it (:p ) but thank you.
 
My mooring at Pin Mill is free for a few days, until the end of next week if you need a back up. I plan to be down at royal harwich YC next week on the pontoon while the kids enjoy a sail training week.
Will probably walk over to the Butt & Oyster most evenings for a few jars!

Nathan, just watched your vids on youtube, thought they were great. (and I liked the music) They remind me whyI go sailing and the simple pleasures that can be gained from being on a boat. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Nice to see sailing films not made by people so far up their own arse. Loved the comments about the miserable people with big boats and the latest Mustos etc.
My only criticism is there needs to be more cooking, as a lazy git I am allways lookin for more top tips for producing an interesting looking meal.

Fill bucket with sea water for bog before water disappears.

haha. You'll be lucky. I can make curry, or pasta. Interesting varieties of both, but limited therein.

The bread was done by MFI style following of instructions.

Actually, it's a weird thing, and I'm sure most people here can relate to it, but some of the stuff I not only make on the boat, but enjoy eating, I, as any other normal culinary enthusiast would, would not even think about eating it had I made it in a kitchen in a house. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

You can't miss Roach's mooring - I've attached a shiny new tag the other week for him! Also, I'm not on my mooring yet - inner trot just down river from the hard at Pin Mill - orange pick up buoy marked "Bryher" (which may be faded now) - so long as you don't draw more than 1m. If you are about and fancy a pint - I'm varnishing all weekend in Kings top boatyard - cream hull - wooden job. I'll have a car there if you need to go shopping etc. (as long as it is pre-pint!)

Since you are clearly intending your remark ironically I thought you might like to see a picture of my first meal cooked on Jessie. Beef stew in porter, carrots and potatoes, mmmm!
