Had the good fortune to be invited down to Dover with colleagues from our Nautical College last Friday to have a tour around the Sage Ruby Cruiseship.

The Master is David Warden Owen - I used to race GP's against his Brother Eddie about 127 years ago.

Wonderful Ship - The First Officer loves his AIS.

Quite fancied the World Cruise in the Penthouse suite - a snip at £80K a chuck.

Looking forward to being 50

Re: Looking forward to being 50

Been there done that, got the aches and pains.

Trust me, being 50+ is an overrated experience. As a colleague's tea mug puts it,

"Fifty...

The metallic age:
Gold teeth
Silver hair
Rusty memory"

But the worst part of it is that I don't know if it's the increasing quantities of it, or myfailing strength that means I can no longer carry all the Saga junk mail to the bin /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

There is one plus. The kids are old enough both to be left behind and not to want to come with the old fogies anyway
