Safe Marinas in Tenerife?

We need to leave our boat in Tenerife for a month and wondered which harbours are safe from possible southerly storms that can hit sometimes in Jan-March. Many we've seen in the other islands are a real liability when these storms come around. We've heard Santa Cruz can be very rough in southerlies and still not great even in a Northerly well.

Thoughts?

I'd recommend a short hop across to San Sebastián on La Gomera. Although the outer harbour looks open to the south east the marina has a staggered entrance that sends any remaining waves up a slipway so they don't bounce around the marina.
