Sadler 26 headroom

The boat was reviewed by PBO in february 1983 ( PBO 194)
All the pictures seem to be from the brochure

BUT they say, "Down below, there's 6 feet of headroom beneath the main sliding hatch, but around 5 inches less further forward".

I though I could stand up when i looked at one at the boat show back in the 1980s. I'm 6ft..

Thanks for the replies . Nearest one to here (Clyde) at the moment is in Belfast. I can see a trip coming up!

There's a good deal more headroom than a 25.

At 6'2" I could just stand under the hatch but had to bow my head elsewhere.

Yes I am slightly more vertically challenged at 1.74m but the one I have sailed locally a couple of times has plenty of headroom around the hatch, chart table, galley area where it's needed.

I am almost 5' 11" (wife disputes this!)and can stand in mine, more easily at the galley area but seems to be enough headroom going forward although I probably do stoop a little just to keep some margin?
Always tight getting into and out of v berth.
Welcome to check mine out on the east coast - Port Edgar.

Many thanks all.

The one I had my eye on in Belfast is at Blue Flag Boats. Despite all my efforts I've been unable to raise anybody. Most frustrating. Web site has been updated in Feb.
