Sadler 26 and Beta 13.5

Has anyone fitted a Beta 13.5 to their Sadler 26? In particular am after advice/reassurance regarding engine size, width of engine mounts and the bearers, prop and shaft size. Old engine Volvo 2001. Also would you recommend an Aquadrive also or is the Beta smooth enough anyway?

Beta have a website which has all the drawings etc you need for checking out the dimensions. Beyond that, sorry I can't help.

The company is also very helpful. Sent down someone to look at my bearers etc. and gave a good offer on the spot.
Smooth and should not need aquadrive.

Completely agree. Had one fitted last year in my Invicta 26 and it goes like a dream. Cruises at 6-6.5kts no problem. Would thoroughly recommend both the engine and the company. Always starts on first turn of the key. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Would advise going for the larger alternator.

We have fitted over 100 to the Albin Vegas in the last five years and work a treat. I would suggest you use a centaflex coupling as makes it even quieter and not too expensive (about £150). Easy to fit and install.
