Brief visit to the marina at Bray today to check a few things. Never seen the car park so empty at this time of year and didn't see any boats pass up or down river whenever we were looking.

Looked down past the Leisure centre as we drove over the road bridge and again very empty with lots of mooring space.

Just got to be something to do with this manky weather, was almost tempted to go and see a chum who was off to see his boat today, but shivering under cloudy skies does have its lack of attractivness.

Tother thing could be simply the cost of getting to the marina, even if you are not going to go for a run and you live a couple of hours away, thats probably £30.00 of squirt just to lift the covers huddle in the cockpit for and hour or two before setting of to join a traffic jam somewhere for the long journey home. ?
Plus the wife will insist on being fed and watered in some expensive dreadful chain eatery at some point.

You can see me go past next week.

The wife and I had a cruise down to Marlow on Saturday and although nowhere near as busy as normal there were quite a few boats out.

We haven't used ours much at all this year compared to last but at least being only half an hour from the marina we often pop down there and enjoy just 'being there'.

The wife keeps telling me we are going to get very hot July/August apparently (she must have some seaweed somewhere).

At long last , so did we. Needed to use the facilities of Bourne End to relieve the over pressured holding tank before we depart for St Kats next week. 2 boats at Hurley, 1 boat at Temple, Salters and 2 at Marlow and that was it.
Spent a pleasent evening at Kongs resturant in Bourne End. Would certainly go again.
Glad the old Eber was working though. Lost a water pump , so returned to Delta Tango Charlie on one wing. Took it off and a new one will be delivered tomorrow. Thank goodness it was here and not the tideway.
Still, at least we managed a pump out before the meal !! Sorry, cant avoid the plumbing puns y'no !
