Got me a secondhand cylinder block with a sticky spot on the bearings, going to swap my crank etc in to the secondhand block, any idea of how to get into the block, i've taken out all the bolts i can see behind the flywheel (which will not budge) but it still won't split, any ideas greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I don't know this particular engine, being used to the big stuff, but if you've released all the nuts & bolts, and you can't shift it, you may need to use a hydraulic puller to get the flywheel off, and even then if it's a tight fit you may need to apply some heat carefully with a blow torch and a little shock. I use a club hammer and a stout piece of wood to hit against. Above all take care, I once had a particularly well stuck flywheel whizz about twenty feet across the workshop when it finally came off, admittedly a very rare occurence, but do work from one side when doing this, or you may have a life changing experience!
Great fun boats, aren't they!
Oh! and good luck.

slacken lock nut about 3 turns. DO not remove. 2 -5/8" studs required + 2"-5/8 bar suitably drilled for hole size and pitch + stub bar sized to fit shaft, some elbow grease and it should spring off the nut stops it going to far. taken from manual and experience. may need thicker puller bar stock if really tight, Hope that this is of use and good luck.
