semi day dreaming re s42, was thinking the kad300 maybe a little underpowered, the d6 350 should be ok though.
but then thought about biodiesel and was thinking that maybe the kad could be more favourable as I think theres a good possibility of using this but with d series will be stuck with fossil diesel and its higher pricing. But then the d6 maybe more effiicent.. Any thoughts.
I like the S42 and for me cant find much to match it, want decent aft cabin and outdrives...Gobbi 425 is one but was a little dissapointed compared to S42...

KAD 300's slightly underpowered. I have S42 with D6 350hp. Tons of power and very fuel efficient. Very quiet. Normally average 1.5 mpg at 25/26 knots. 30 knots approx 3000 rpm. Just clocked up 520 hrs running.

D6 is a more modern set-up with a lower-stressed bigger engine, common rail injection, isolated bronze props (supposed not to eat anodes like SS props), etc. Look at the spec. carefully before deciding.

I have had several Sealines, but I have been thinking about a Gobbi 425 and would definitely want D6 engines.

You miight also want to check out the Sessa C42 fitted with the D6 engines, very simmillar alyout but a bit more contemporary.
