Hi everyone, i recently had a problem with the horizon windlass on my s28 after anchoring just off osbourne house in the solent .
The anchor was deployed using the foot button with no problem, on bringing the anchor in and slowly creeping forward to take up the slack until the chain was near vertical the windlass was working fine until the last meter or so and just stopped, on depressing the foot buttons the solenoid could be heard clicking, the remainder off the chain was pulled up by hand.
My plan of action was to first consult the owners manual which was not much help i intend to start with the easiest fixes first the circuit breaker where can this be found on the s28 ?
does it also have a fuse inline ?
Once i have eliminated the circuit breaker i hope to check for any breaks in the power supply to the windlass and the solenoid contacts before starting to dismantle the windlass any advice on this would be appriciated.
