Can anyone recommend a stainless steel fabricator in the NW England or SW Scotland - I am after someone to modify my anchor bow roller.

Thanks in advance

As a starter for 10, I'll recommend these guy's
http://www.centralsteel.co.uk/

Give them a call, explain what you need, pictures and drawings will help.
They are not marine specialists which reflects in the price. As an example they made a set of dingy davits for me. Quote from a marine stainless fabricator was close to £3000, Central Steel charged me £800.
Maybe a bit far from Cumbria, but if all else fails.

If there's no local recommendation there's bound to be quite a few agricultural engineer/fabricators round your way. Just have a mosey around the small industrial units edge of town. You'll find some local guy who'll be happy to do a good job at a fraction of the cost of any business that has marine association.

I've tried this and either its too small a job for them (& therefore too expensive for them to do it) or they haven't got any 316 s/s of sufficient thickness in to do the job. I was hoping that someone knew of a good fabricator that had done a similar job before...…

(i'll try Bay Fabricators based in Lancaster tomorrow (as suggested by the other poster) and see what gives......thanks)
