Hello,

I look from more than one year ago for all documents on 7xx CETREK autopilot.

This is a very old autopilot sure ...

But nor I use an autohelm 6000 onbaord, I whish to take in order this old
original AP on board ...

The real question is : how many olds electronic's technicians (like me) are able to send me a copy of the Service manual ???

And (because of age of ... ) how many have the knowledge to send this ... on the web ...

No more rights to the contains of those documents are attached ...
You can (why not) sell your holding of no charges because no rights ...
no successors can say than they can use those documents ... they say that
no parts, no assemblys, no diagrams, no repairs can be done now ...
For the Law, this is the surrender ...

I am a very old man whit a very old boat ... but I want to keep this boat
in his 'juice' ... no matter I use an other AP to cruise ...

One of the member of the society (sure ...) can send me a copy of this very
old repair manual ... but the time to make a scan ... and others thinks ... stop
many of those ...

I don't will go to my last hole unless to have this document ...

Please, give me answer ...

a very old cruiser in France asking you to nothing (or just to scan a paper)

I'm looking for one of these units if anyone wants to sell one. It turns out that something the former owner told me is actually true! There has previously been a Cetrel autohelm fitted, the main unit removed but everything (?) else remains. I discovered this whilst looking for a site to host a galvanic isolator. I have a hand held controller, I think unit number 930-770 and something that has 2 pipe looking this coming out (see how mechanically minded I am) with a number 0f 930-146 on it. I know I am missing something but not sure what. There is also an odd looking Cetrek box under the floor in the mid cabin. No idea what this is.

Made me chuckle Daka :) Dontcha love zee French! I love their company, most weekends. They make such impassioned dramatic speeches, including a pre-emptive stike ("Surrender!") lest anyone mentions ze copyright. They even put getting a copy of this ancient sacred Cetrek script on their list of Things To Do Before You Die. Whereas, we Rosbiffs just, er, google "manual for cetrek 770" and get a whole load of URLs where it's posted online as a pdf. I'm glad OP now has the book he needs but he really ought to raise the bar for Things To Do Before You Die :0 :)

But I must to indicate to you ...

The Service Center is saying that they have nothing ... just a replacement

can be true to have a AP in order to drive my boat ...

I have repaired an old Autohelm 6000 ... works fine onboard ... :)

But I think than every old technician in her staff have in hand the Service
Manual whit diagrams but don't want to send a copy !!! it is perfectly
ridiculous ... are they thinkings that I will be rivalry ??? :mad:

No matter, I will find one a day ... sure :)

If you use the link in Daka's post you get the whole Cetrek manual. 69 pages. It is a 2.3Mb tif file. Download it then read it in Microsoft Photo Viewer (for example). I just did it and it workls perfectly. If you have a problem tell us and someone will help you. Good luck

are you Alain-Marc? - If you are, you contacted me under my old username a few weeks ago, but regarding a CETREK 701 - This is a very different item to the one being discussed here.
As promised I will be scanning the 701 documents I have after the weekend when I have been to my boat to collect them, but as it will take a considerable time, I would like you to confirm the model you need so as not to waste my time.
