Hi - back in the water again at last with lots of jobs done and a smart new coat of paint but much poorer so having fitted the inner stay and runners to convert to a cutter I need a new sail and some mods. First anyone recomend a sorce of second hand sails, I need a high cut with a 10.5m luff. Second I need to adjust 2 others by removing some cloth from the luff at the head (on one) and foot (on the other About 18" in both cases. This also means replacing the luff rope and hanks on one sail. I am copetant with a sewing machine having previously designed and made several tents outdoor jackets etc but not done sailmaking so any advice? Particularly about source and fitting suitable eylets and fastening the luff rope into the tabling.

Probably the best place to go in UK is Sea Teach near Portsmouth. Arun's or similar small sailmakers are good at the mods.
