I've just paid a deposit on a 2005 Sealine S34, subject to sea trial, survey etc. I plan to keep the boat in either Brixham or Torquay. Can anyone recommend a local engineer and trimmer. Many thanks

Our engines are still under warranty so locked into main dealer but we're recommended to Ak Marine services when we were looking at second hand boats. Can't vouch for them as never used them, but a recommendation is a recommendation... No connection.

Just checking work e.mails for contact details but we needed to get the zip runners changed on our canopies last year (under warranty) and the firm recommended to us by our guardinage guy was Octagon Marine in Plymouth - who covers Torquay as well - contact 01752 222 249.

The job he did for us was very small but we have had no problem with them since - and again he was a recommendation.

I'm also in Torquay, I've had very good service from Birchall Marine, prices were competitive too.

For cover work I was recommended to use Adrian at Bay Covers. He was recommended by at least half a dozen owners in the Marina.

Been around this area for some years in boats and the lads at Tonto Marine, based at Dartside Quay, are pretty good on mechanicals. www.tontomarine.co.uk.

No connection, but they have done various types of jobs for me including servicing, outdrive rebuild, skin fittings etc.
