I'm still a bit confused on your pricing Piers. £238.44 for 40 litres is about £6 a litre, not £4.35. TBH, the biggest problem with rydlime is the bonkers price. I suspect they would make a lot more money if they substantially dropped the price, then they would actually sell some.
I'd use it to descale my black water system, but it's cheaper to replace all the pipes!
