However I declare another interest as I have worked for them in the past. My experience was that they were a very professional outfit. They offered RYA exams and quals plus the supplements for commercial work.

Actually I got my standard fees for conducting YM exams plus flights (and accommodation when I wasn't at sea) so I wasn't making my fortune.

I wasn't commenting on your take. As far as I recall Bluewater is one of the most expensive companies to do courses such as your STCW with. They get away with it because the folk who work on Super Yachts often have more money than sense and like hanging out in places like Palma, Antibes and Fort Lauderdale.

I worked for them as well, had a nice time down in Antibe running an Ocean course.
