RYA MOB - latest version??

To change the subject a tiny bit,in my YM theory practice exams there`s a Q: "What pyro would I use to search for a MOB?" I haven`t heard it before,initially I thought none,night vision killer for all,but thinking about it the only one might be a white parachute if you have lost sight of them,what do you folks think thanx Jerry

Good question. I would have thought the answer is none, at least for assisting with the search. From experience, a hand-held flare at night is completely blinding and illuminates hardly any distance. I've no idea whether a parachute would be much help either in illuminating the sea effectively. Actually, I've never seen marine white parchutes, not a standard piece of kit.

Or perhaps the answer is ... the one the MOB's carrying.
