Went for a days sailing at Rutland yesterday. Best sail I have had in a long time. Second reef half jib and 2 large crew members.

The Tiger trophy was being held with 250 dinghies taking part. Was very impressive to watch, we kept near there top mark and saw some world class sailing. The foil Moths were amazing..

I was watching from a distance (Whitwell Creek) for a time..on land..doing odd jobs on the Dehler, feeling unmotivated and jealous because it looked really good out there..if chilly.

The highlight of my afternnoon was managing to drill and extract a snapped bolt stud out of a stanchion base..and rewarding myself with a Tesco creamy wild mushroom cuppa soup...does life get any better than that (No..don't answer that..its supposed to be rhetoric tinged with a touch of irony..and jealousy as previously mentioned)

Tim (looking at the Photo..I didn't know Darth Vader listed sailing amongst his hobbies)

And by contrast I had a long race scheduled yesterday 4.5 hours but cancelled due to weather. Too hot and no wind. As it happened it was very unpleasnt for the first hour with temps in the shade over 35 and no wind but the afternoon cheered up with a solid breeze. But i still think I did the right thinbg staying home.
And yes I would have somethinng like DarthVader in the photo (nice one) except in white and a lot lighter cloth. olewill
So quit whginging about the cold weather.

Now P 235s I like very Mucho. The factory is only a mile away from me, and donkeys years ago I used to sail a Parker Lark at Leeds Poly.

If I see you about I shall identify myself. I can occasionally be seen on the water in my White (blue stripe) Dehler 22 'Seronera'

Cheers

Tim
