Rustler 36 - advertising on personal site?

Suggest you caption the pics, to emphasise features. Also suggest you have a mobile number as a contact point. And the whole website definitely needs spell-checking!

You'd probably be much better buying your own URL, rather than a Moonfruit one, and optimising it for Google. Your Moonfruit site doesn't seem to be found by Google.

Looks good, only thing I would say is that you are trying to sell a dream and so it is recommended to show internal pics set up in such a way to show the 'lifestyle' you can expect with such a boat. Things such as made beds, laid table with wine and even candles, sink empty of dishes and washing bowl etc. Thing of every picture not just as an informative description but a chance to really 'sell' the boat. I didn't see much in the way of sailing photos, surely you must have some.

+ 1

There is a long thread on here, maybe from last year, that covers the topic in great detail.

Your document is fine.If people are interested it will catch their attention. If you take a £10 a quarter ad in Apollo Duck using their pro forma you can also show the address of your own site. Those interested will follow it through.

I thought the ops website was ok - nice looking boat.

But ultimately it is people that sell boats not websites :encouragement:

Get as many people on the boat as you can.

Face to face is the key.

Best of luck.

mmmm.... that has my heart racing, my mouth watering and a warm flushing sensation rising up my neck... I suppose that is what you mean :o

mind you, the gimballed seat looks a bit like something out Fifty Shades... of Green (if the colour scheme down below is anything to go by).

OK, something else to bookmark on my list of unachievable dreams. I'll share this at home tonight, if I can get the others "in the mood" :D

Steady, this is a family forum

I found the inventory a little cluttered and not well defined and had to go searching for aspects of the inventory /specification that I would be looking for. Separate out each item and list under functionality to location may be an idea.

Thanks again for the thoughts, it's work in progress.

The price seems to be about right for the condition but I guess we have to let the market decide. I'm aware of a cheaper one for sale of similar vintage but she needs quite a bit of work I believe to bring up to the standard of our R36.

I agree the inventory needs some work to tidy up - will have a go at that and get some sailing pics soon hopefully.

Remember to promote your site- as a private person you can present your site to google et all to promote it for free.
If you are able to access your sites HTML and have some basic understanding of this then its quite easy to add microdata to further promote your sites position on google etc.
I am no HTML expert but my little business site self promoted comes up front page top on all my search criteria next to sites that are paying for top listings.
