Coming into a crowded anchorage the alarm on my D2-55f engine sounded. I had to continue to find a spot to drop the anchor despite realising that the engine was running dry. Maybe for three or four minutes. After the engine had cooled down I cleared the intake strainer which was dry and the changed the impeller. Only one fin was partly missing but the impeller was very much harder than normal to remove. My question is - what else should I look for that could have been damaged? I ran the engine after changing the impeller and the exhaust was discharging the usual quantity of water.
Thanks in advance.

Find the missing impeller parts. The remains can cause blockage at a,layer date. Most likely somewhere in. The freshwater cooling heated exchanger area.
