Hi,

Can anyone tell me the website for the manufacturer of Rule bilge pumps, or if not then a main disty which has manual and spec downloads available. Rulepumpsupply.com doesn't seem to be it...

Thanks,

Well, I couldn't find any info there but you did post the Xylem name before andthere's a bunch of advertising catalogues on their website.

I didn't find what I was looking for on either site, I really need technical specs for pump current draws etc. In the catalogue I got this info regarding current draw for an automatic bilge pump :
The pump will turn on every 21⁄2 minutes for about one second to sense for water. If water is present, the pump will sense resistance and continue to run until all water is removed. Thereafter, it will check for water every 21⁄2 minutes. Power use in the checking mode is minimal.

I was really looking for a definition of "minimal" in terms of amps...

If it runs for a second 24 times an hour, it's running for about half a minute every hour. If it's say a 10A pump, that's about 0.1Ah every hour, say 2.4Ah a day.
