Hi .. i purchased one of these (iD20). It seems to be absolute rubbish. Noisy metallic like and perhaps more revealing it will not open the one way roberts valves on my dinghy. Am I unlucky and have a faulty item or is this typical of this Designed in the UK made in China product?
Have previously used a rechargeable pool pump which is better than this except it does not have the punch to open the valves so needs topping up. Is it a refund or am I unlucky and have got a dud??

The old LM high speed inflator - now sold by Force 4 without the LM tag - will do the job very quickly; just be sure to attach the croc clips directly to the battery, as the current draw will fry most boat wiring - I've seen this happen, on an electricians' boat !

I've had 2 of them, (1st went overboard sadly), both overcame various dinghy valves and got the dinghies hard in under a minute, I suggest it's faulty, but is your valve stuck perhaps?
The noise grows on you, but then I like screaming turbines.
I prefer it to the rhythmical fartysquelching and awkward leg action of the trad dinghy pump, which belong in a Monty Python sketch.
as above, use croc clips on the battery, step away from the cig lighter socket, too many amps!

I think my pump turbine blades are grinding on something , sound loose when the pump is running down. I was curious if the Roberts valves needed more omph than others. Also battery voltage not an issue lest its mentioned.
Thanks for your humours reply
