Rudder stops for Princess 435

Where I should have rudder stops on a Princess 435 (1989), instead I have blocks of rust with some metal on them! Does anyone know a part code and supplier to replace these with non-corrosive rudder stops? T.I.A

My 410 just had a bent piece of mild steel bolted to the hull, a machine shop should be able to make them and I’d have them in stainless
 
Talking about blocks of rust with some metal on them in a Princess 435, have you checked the engine mounts? Many years ago, the TAMD71A starboard engine in my 435 (coincidentally also 1989) literally fell off its mountings in the middle of the E Channel. The original fit Volvo mountings were prone to corrosion and on my boat, the starboard mountings collapsed completely. Luckily the bolts holding the universal coupling together sheared when this happened which meant that the propshaft stayed inside the boat. After we had hobbled back to harbour on the port engine alone, we found that 3 out of the 4 mountings holding the port engine were also sheared due to corrosion so that engine was only held in place by 1 mounting. At some stage, Volvo had obviously become aware of this issue because the replacement mountings were much beefier

So its worthwile checking the engine mountings on your boat. Other than that IMHO the 435 is a great boat and one of Princess's best ever
 
My rudder stops were merely L shaped bits of metal bar, however did wire brush and coat with Hammerite to smarten up.
 
Cheers Mike, thankfully my mounts have already been upgraded. I think it must have been a post you wrote a while back that I read and made a point of checking these when I was having the survey done. I'd like to post a pic of my stops but can't work out how to do so from my gallery on my android phone.

Upload your photo to a hosting website like Picture Push and then post the URL into your message on here using the photo icon at the top of the message template page. Believe me, I am a computer numpty and if I can do it anyone can;)
