Rubber rubbing strip repair - Nelson

Following an altercation with a mooring post at the weekend the Nelsons rubbing strip now has a tear in it.
Are there companies out there that fix these rubbing strips or will it have to be replaced or is it an easy day job.

I assume you are talking "D" fendering, You can't really repair them, generally a new piece is required.

A lot of them have an aluminium strip inside to bolt through, the problem is getting to the bolts on the inside of the hull which are normally glassed in or over or have furniture built over.
