Rubber exhaust flap

My boat (dehler 38) has the engine over the keel, so the exhaust comes out amidships, at waterline level. It has a rubber flap over the exhaust port to keep the sea water out if the boat heels too far.

Said rubber flap has worn out. Does anybody sell such a thing? If I need to cut one out of a sheet, what sort of sheet should I use that won't be degraded by exhaust temperatures, sea water, etc.

Whenever I have a requirement for a replacement rubber part, I look up the nearest rubber factor and consult them. They can recommend, supply and cut the most appropriate material and often the part comes out of an offcut, so the price is not prohibitive.

They are readily available in Australia.

I did a google and came up with the following links which may be of use or have you looked at these already?

Incidentally my exhaust comes out the side of the hull too but I don't intend to use a flapper (I have a high loop in the exhaust up to the deck and I think that will be adequate) If you do a google (image) search and looking at the photos I don't think many people do use them either

Cheers

I have been thinking about fitting a flap on Cobblers exhaust as it emerges very near the waterline but I do have a vetus swan neck inside. My exhaust outlet is a normal skin fitting so I can't use a simple jubillee clip type.

Thanks for those. Unfortunately, it doesn't look quite like any of them, but I'll have another look to see if it might have originally.

Otherwise, I'll...
... buy nitrile rubber in sheets, would be ideal.

Thanks guys
