The best service schedule is for Offenbach, see

DWD do a broadcast at, I think 10:30UTC (or maybe 11:30) which covers western European waters down to the Azores. Its on 7646 and 10100.8kHz but is not obvious from the schedule which can be found at:

Depends on the frequency as to the times of broadcast.

I find the most powerful 10100 to give best results in Med.

Forecasts are of little practical value due to the enormous areas lumped together so are used for background weather picture.

especially valuable are the 5-day medium range forecasts

If you scour the dwd website carefully you will find all the schedules in English, I eventually did.
