Having posted my cheques on april 29th special delivery on voucher no ra 22753897 8gb i assumed delivery would be made to the ipc ivory tower before noon the following day, however on arriving in the office this afternoon i find that i am still on the list as no cheque.
On ringing the freephone proof of delivery number i am told that the items in question were delivered at 12.24 pm today may 4th a full five days after despatch and that if i have a complaint then i should put it in writeng (MY SECRETARY IS STILL TRYING TO FIND OUT WHETHER THE COMPlAINT NEEDS TO GO TO LEEDS OR THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT) probaly the former as i understand one of the men at the top was also a director of a former south yorkshire pemiership club on a final note to brendan if i am out as per the agreed terms and conditions please donate the inshore lifeboat cheque and return the other, its not there fault that we have a bannana republic mail system.

Ours have yet to arrive, hoping they did in today's post. I sent them first class from a post office! Should have arrived at the latest Friday morning.

Shouldn't worry Mike, as long as it's there, that's all I'm concerned about. It appears from knowing firm days of posting, and their subsequent arrival, that 1st class mail is taking about 3 working days to arrive at IPC at the moment, so I'm happy to make allowances for that.

I'll get a firm update of cheques that have confirmed arrived tomorrow, and see what the status is. List of cheques that have arrived is accurate only up till mail on Friday morning, and probably won't be updated before tomorrow.

Yes, agree. Piss poor service. You expect when you pay for next day to get it!!!

They did go bust years ago

Been baled out by taxpayer for years and by GPO phones for years before that.

Its even worse when you're waiting for a cheque and they say "its in the post" - and you think it might be.

PS

Something about motor boat navigation perhaps - Leeds is in West Yorks not South.

They've still gone bust though

Re: Complaint

Don't hold your breath after you put in your complaint, you will most likely get a standard letter of apology and..........wait for it...........a free book of first class stamps!

I had a recorded delivery letter picked up in the street and handed in at the address by a member of the public; the response from post office complaints was that the postman "probably had a lot of letters in his hand that day".
