What an amazing achievement

Thanks for posting that Dan... Very interesting.. I often saw him training on the Crouch last year and thought he was clearly bonkers... However reading the blog which was posted today at 13:30 GMT =

"Charlie Pitcher is agonisingly close to the finish, having just 22nm to go after 52 days. He was the first to receive these Westerly winds, and until they subside enough he won’t be able to make land. However, there should be a big enough window to get in tomorrow but only time will tell if this comes."

Again looking at the website I see that in some 24 hour periods he covered as much as 80 NM. And other days he went backwards 13 NM

What an amazing achievement.

He's also running the Marathon de Sables this year too..... crazy crazy crazy fellow!
