It always rains in Scotland. And it’s windy. With midges and rain. And more rain.

Yes, clearly CGI with the blue sky etc. The CGI artists definitely went overboard when they created the "island" with the hexagonal basalt columns and the cave entrance. Who would be taken in by something like that?

I hope you did not use the live feed to search for, for example, wind shifts or breezes.

Nope.

Day 1 - enough wind.
Day 2 - not enough wind but enough diesel and beer to pop into Fingal’s cave having retired.
Day 3 - too much wind.

No video from day 3 as having the kite up for 2.5 hours in 30+ knots of wind is quite focusing.
