Rough Weather Entry To Dunbar's Narrow Entrance

The mooring at Torness would have been very exposed during Storm Arwen but the problem was well forecast so I'd be interested to know why the boat wasn't moved earlier.

It did look risky but they did it right with lots of power to retain good steerage.

It looks worse than it is. The trick in that entrance is to time it to go in on the top of a wave.

In the 60s and 70s, the lifeboat was berthed in the harbour permanently; my dad's Halcyon 27 was moored next to it, and we often got woken during the night when there was a shout. The maroons (no mobiles in those days!) were fired from the castle ruins, and are VERY loud!
