Hi all, my Wallas cooker has packed up with a PCB fault, and... the PCB's are no longer available! Replacing like with like would be about £2800, so I'm trying to get an idea of what a new gas installation would cost. Gladys has a "gas locker" but it's always wet, and although a new gas cooker is cheaper, if the install starts to put the price up too much, then I might as well bite the very big Finnish bullet...

Cooker is about midships so say 6m pipe run, and it's a relatively easy run. Yes, I could do it myself, but gas scares the wossname out of me...

Ask our local gasman micheal_w, he is Ipswich based

Thanks, pm already sent!
May I suggest you talk to Electroversal ar Luton - they offer a free evaluation of failed PCBs and will quote a fixed price for repair if it is repairable.
They have done several successful repairs for me - on complex PCBs- at very reasonable prices, typically c10% of cost of replacement PCB
