I am trying to find out how the three sections of an 11metre foil are attached and if possible how to separate them. There are no rivets.
Later versions of Rotostay foils are said to be joined with internal sleeves and loctite. Is this likely to be the case for the earlier versions and if so is there any way of releasing loctite?

Not a direct answer sorry but www.rotostay.co.uk, they answered many questions specific to my model and even gave me details of the forestay length/diameter including when and where furler was installed etc. All from their serial number on the bottom of the drum!
very helpful.

Mine is a Rotostay E and has internal sleeves secured with Loctite. I may be wrong but I believe you can loosen Loctite by applying heat.

The joiners on my fs4 Rotostay are short lengths of machined aluminium - they look like thick-walled tube, the od is turned to give a sliding fit, and there is a flat milled along the length, effectively giving a C section. Mine had pop-rivets, but whether that is original I don't know. If they are Loctited in place you might be able to free them with some heat.
I suppose they could be stainless steel, in which case they might be firmly corroded in place.
The instructions for the models D E and F show the joiners held in place with machine screws, which they say have to be Loctited in place.
I agree with Plankton - Rotostay have been very helpful to me when I've contacted them.
