Rotostay Bulldog query

I have a 2nd hand Rotostay Bulldog furler that I want to fit to the inner forestay of my Migrant 36.
Does anyone know what diameter forestay is recommended for this furler?
The top of the foil has an insert with a hole of approximately 7mm diameter. The existing stay is 8mm but will be changed.
Any information will be much appreciated.

My Rotostay MkIV has an inner stay of 6mm wire plus plastic cover making 8mm nom. on 26 ft. footer .Different models of Rotostay of course ,in mine the sleeve is the bearing, but presumably the stay should match the spec for the vessel first ?
