Lets see rope cutters deal with this one!

Yes, particularly if you can email me a high res version of it!

We had an incident this summer whilst wreck fishing about 15 miles south of Poole.

Whilst drifting over a wreck we went between a couple of buoys about 200 yds apart which we assumed were marking the start and end of the wreck (or something of interest) for divers, there is often a single buoy on this particular wreck. It turned out that the buoys were connected via floating line which we didn't see until it was too late. Luckily the engine was in neutral so there wasn't any damage to the prop or shaft.

We informed the coastguard of what had happened and what we were planning to do, just in case something went wrong. My fishing buddy (luckily an ex-diver) then managed to dive under the boat (shaft so no legs to lift) and cut the rope free.

The coastguard asked us to remove the rest of the floating line from the main buoy and then we were on our way again.

I must admit i was panicking a bit to start with and now I carry a divers mask with me on the boat and will probably get a Pony bottle as well.

Unfortunately it was a section of a scanned picture that I enlarged so there is no high res, you are welcome to try enhance it if you wanted.

I will see if dad still has the negative.

A pal of mine caught a continental quilt off the fuel berth on the Hamble last year. Comp-letely wrapped itself around his stbd outdrive due prop.

And no I am not making this up.

I can find out if took any pics.He took his Princess V42 to RK Marine to sort the mess out, they also may have photos.

He was livid at the result and cost for some idiot airing their bedding and not tying it down, but unfortunately for him the owner was not in bed at the time !
