Just received a very good quote for a new Main. Has anyone experience of this maker with regard to quality, cut, etc?

Taskers sails were a major sail maker for many years (like 50 years) here in Fremantle. They also branched in spar making and making nylon sialing products. Some years back they moved actual sail making to Thailand though they had offices here in Fremantle. Rolly Tasker was an olympic gold medalist in Flying Dutchman class and serious off shore racer and sadly died a year or 2 back well into his 80s. He also built a sailng museum in Mandurah which sadly has been sold and broken up. it claimed to have models of every sail boat (not quite) sailed in West Oz. The company continues and presumably still to the high quality you would expect. Though of course you might bhe unlucky and have dissapointment as with any sail maker especially in Asia. good luck olewill

we have a storm jib and asymetric spinnaker and sock from them. Both good sails although the spin came without a bag which was annoying. I heard they now mainly do contract work for other big sailmakers. Distribution has always been their problem. They don't seem to have anyone now in NSW.

A great Australian.

I was lucky enough to be presented with a prize after a sailing regatta at the Hampton Harbour boat and sailing club in Damper North Western Australia many years ago.

I was very impressed because he came across as a an ordinary bloke, and he is certainly not that, see the links below.

Sadly Rolly passed away in 2012 at the ripe old age of 80.

RIP Rolly.

I got a quote from them as well.

Ask Crusader for a quote. I did and they were very close - then think about the advantage of having the sails actually made in the UK.
