Afternoon,

i am just about to take the plunge on 3 new batteries for the boat. (2 starter and 1 service) and the current ones are Rolls 110AH sealed batteries.

My inclination is to get the same again but they are about 50% more expensive than the next best type.

any suggestions if they are worth it??

They need to have 8mm threaded terminals.

thanks
Zippy

We can only help with this enquiry if we know which exact model of boat they are intended for :D

At 150% of the price, I'd be inclined to buy the non-premium batteries, pocket the cash saving, and change them more often. I'm sure there are great batteries out there that you could buy but i also suspect some of the so-called super batteries are just hyped to sell for a higher price. So play safe/boring and get a decent standard battery (sealed, but not gel) from a reputable supplier like B'Meggastore imho and put the cash saving in your fuel tank

All in good time! (it might even be on the water this weekend!)

With regard starting batteries. currently the setup is 3 batteries. one for each engine and a service battery.

assume the engine batteries would be better to be "starting batteries" rather than Deep cycle ones??

im a little blind here as my previous boats have had single battery for starting and service....

You porobably dont need rolls batteries, for your usage, but they are probably one of the best batteries around.
