I am in the process of buying a Norman 20
it hasn't got a hatch to cover the opening into the forward cabin
at the minute it's about 20" single door size but i want to open it up like the newer ones.

what i am thinking is how would i make a roller hatch similar to a bread bin type but rolls up out of the way
rather than a standard hatch that has to be either removed or lifted up

wonder if anyone has any brainwave ideas pls

like plastic garage doors

We had a wooden slatted blind on a door in Spain. It was operated by a band that one pulled and it rolled up into a box above the door. Similar thing with aluminium slats and rollers on a window.

I would have thought any garage door manufacturer could knock one up very easily - the only restriction I can envisage would be the thickness of the metal/plastic and the size of the box it rolls into
