Are there any other furling systems that do not use a halyard other than the now long defunct Colnebrook Furlers?

There is one called ALADO , sold via ebay which looks good and reasonably priced. Search on 'furler' and they will come up - looks ok and reasonably priced. Google 'Alado furler' and lots of info appears.

One system "Profurl C260" uses a "halyard" built in that runs over the top of the foil and comes down a groove to a small cleat so that jib is attached to the foil (around the forestay) but not attached to the bow or mast. If you have a real need to not use a halyard this might be an answer.
However it is a horrible system. You can not get enough tension or stretch on the luff of the jib so does not set well.
One friend fitted the system to a 24fter later removed it because of bad performance and went back to hank on. He sold it to another friend who did use it but soon sold the boat with it fitted. Not loved at all. Don't know who made it and it seems to be not carried by the particular chandler. olewill
