Hello, I've been interested in a Rodman 41 Fly-Bridge on shafts for a while now, but before searching for one I wanted to find out the exact air draft (to the highest point from water level) not so much the radar arch (as could perhaps hinge) but other parts up top. My Prestige 36 fly goes under a certain bridge by a few inches, and wonder if there is anyone on this group who has one, or knows someone who does that would let me come and take some measurements? Thanks in advance, Ian.

I think they are fairly low air draft. I was in Kilrush on the Shannon Estuary a few years ago and one arrived in from France. It had been bought by a guy from Northern Ireland and he brought it up the Shannon and through the Shannon-Erne waterway to Lough Erne. There are plenty of low bridges on the way, the one I know about is Killaloe bridge which is around 3.6-3.8m depending on water levels.

We have one on our moorings, but it would mean a trip down to Rochester Cruising Club on the Medway.
Am pretty certain the air draft was listed on a Spanish website but cannot for the life of member which one.
Will ask the owner if he knows the height, as you are aware the radar dome is mounted on the arch well to the rear, pretty certain it is the highest point on the boat.
Just out of interest we did take the Rodman up to this bridge and suspect we could have got it under.

The Rodman 41 a very spacious boat with that proper 3rd cabin, unfortunately his 41 has the somewhat delicate IPS dangling undereath the hull and chickened out.
Any particular bridge you have in mind.

Hello there, thanks so much for your comments, I wouldn't mind a trip down to measure it, if you would be so kind as to ask, it's no distance for me, I'm in Hertfordshire and used to be moored up on the Medway at Allington Marina, I'm new on this site and not sure if I can post my phone number? I really do appreciate your help.
All the best, Ian

No problem, spoken to owner ,the one thing any skipper finds absolutely irresistible is a chance to show somebody round his boat and explain why its so much better than everything else out there .
Weekends with prob Saturday best .....our Galley and bar open all day. Over 80 boats on our pontoons, 90 % flybridges 99.999% Shafts.
One word of warning, the boat might say "41" on the label, our mooring master has a tape measure which states its 45 + feet long and thats whats written on the mooring invoice. :)

Have only ever seen two in UK, spotted the other one while exiting Brighton marina a few years ago ?

Maybe we can show you how good our club and moorings are! Mike K

Did you try these guys:

Have a chat to R B S Marine, they’re the UK Rodman dealers / importers. Very helpful.
