rodman 1100 fisher

We've got a Rodman 1250 which is pretty close. The website spec sheet for the 1250 says '274 litres' of fuel - which is just silly. I'm not sure of the exact volume of the tank but it's around 1450 litres in reality - best check with RBS, the dealers, for an accurate figure.

Typically I refill the tank to the brim when I've used about 1100 litres - the EVC provides a very accurate readout of consumption which matches the pump readings exactly at refilling. With 1100 litres used, there's about a 'third' still showing on the gauge.

We have IPS 500s and the full set of engine software management read outs. At every speeds from 15 to 30 knots we get 1.25 mpg. Typical mixed cruising gives over 2 mpg, which I think is pretty reasonable for a 13 tonne boat that is happy to run anywhere from 5 to 35 knots.

The boat is a total dream - very dry, and a soft, kind, comfortable ride - also the walk round decks are so very safe - my wife has never been keen on boats nor being out at sea, but she loves the Rodman too.

We've added and modified the boat to suit our requirements, Rodmans are very adaptable in that respect - and with the dark blue hull they look fantastic - but I'm biased.

The one advertised is a lot older than the Rodmans I have experience of.
It does look underpowered by some margin, but the tank size is typical for most boats of this type of size from Europe.

Rodman hulls are very good, but from limited experience, the older ones can be a bit quirky in their layout.

It's cheap as chips, but I'd be most concerend about it having a soggy bottom and those little engines...

I am guessing that will be nearly WOT hence the relatively high fuel figures.

The dramatically bigger 1250 on shafts only burns 100 litres at 20 knots with engines of more than double that size as it is barely working.
