Post covid response - Rigger confirmed on re-inspection that initial rodkicker was for some reason cut to reduce the length. New one ( Selden A20 hard ) now fitted without alteration - back on the horizontal at last. So confirmation if you needed one that a gas sprung rod kicker with released kicker. mainsheet and topping lift should result in the boom lying just above the horizontal.
