Robinsons Teak and Holly Veneer - Can it be varnished

Hi All,

I have recently applied the Robins teak and holly plastic laminate veneer to my sole boards. Are they suitable for varnishing? I would like to apply varnish to try and protect it a little to make it last longer, as it was a bit of a faff, time consuming and expensive to lay. I would like it to last and look good for years to come.

The whole point of that material is that it does not need varnishing. It has a degree of non slip and will probably outlast you in the wear stakes.

The plastic laminate is incredibly tough and won't wear. It may chip if you damage the edges but varnish won't help that.
