Road transport

I have to move my Snapdragon 747 from Dartmouth to Lowestoft next month.
Any ideas who to use?
We could share the cost if there is anyone moving from East Anglia to Devon/Cornwall in February/early March.

Beverly Yacht Transport - we used them to transport a 29ft yacht from Poole to Troon. No complaints at all, though the yard thought they spent far too much time and care preparing the yacht for the journey. I wasn't complaining!

Whoever you use phone around, lots. To move a boat from Hamble to Northern Scotland I was quoted anything from £2500 to £1100.

My boat is coming up to Lincolnshire from Southampton today. After much phoning around and quotes from £500 to £700 I phoned a company which transports caravans. If you can catch them going the other way and coming back empty you can do a good deal. I am paying £250. They can handle quite a large boat.

They have just transported a yacht for me from Trondhiem in Norway to Plymouth and I would highly recommend them - excellent customer service, very helpful and very knowledgable. I received quotes from a number of companies, but they where not only the most helpful but also gave the most competetive quote.

I have no connection with the company other than being a happy customer!
