Road transport costs

Could anyone give me an idea of the price for shipping a 31ft fin keel yacht from South of France to Wales and perhaps suggest a transport company that will provide a good service.

I used the company based in N.Wales , can't remember name (only Ipswich to Cardiff) but he was good and i think about £300 about 6 years ago though! ps. boat same spec aswell.

Or- my parents friends are retired and do delivery by sea very cheaply apparently?

Or- saw a tanker arrive in Cardiff with a fully rigged yacht on deck... maybe worth looking at?

I was quoted 4k from Holyhead to Llanca in Catalonia in 2003. I didn't bother.

Try John Hamer, he works out of Cambrian Marine in Cardiff. He bought my 32 ft fin keeler from Gosport to South Wales 2 years ago. He does a lot of continental work and I found him helpful and conscientious. Tel no 02920 20400488.
