Further to a previous thread on this site, I would like to inform anyone interested that no future listings of this guide will be found on Ebay under my username. Reason for this is that I have been presented an unmissable oppurtunity as a direct result of posting on this forum, and I no longer need/want/have time to list and sell the item. All remaining copies I have will be returned to the RNLI as soon as possible. I am sorry for any anger that I may have caused as that was never my intention. Thank you, Paul

Probably the best possible outcome for everyone. It's a shame it all had to happen, but that's life. What's done is done, and everyone's allowed some water under the bridge. I genuinely do think that you might want to give more thought to the ethics of business relationships, but that's down to you. Look to the future. I wish you well.

Fair winds.

Sometimes it takes a kick in the butt to make people realise it , other times it takes an opportunity . Nobody asked what his reasons were and as it turns out , he was desperate to earn a living in whatever way he could . He was holding down two jobs on very low earnings but now has an opportunity to make good . One of the conditions was that he stopped selling RNLI stuff so please folks , give the guy a chance now

Paul, glad to hear this. You came across in your earlier posts as being far too bright to be wasting your time making peanuts with that daft scheme. Hope this opportunity works for you.

Gets my vote for "Heartwarming story of the year".

Would be good to have an update in a month or two.

Edit: I don't like to spoil a good story, but one other possibility springs to mind - the most successful troll in the history of Scuttlebutt?

Mark

I think I know what your new vocation is :-

Wish you well in new venture. You have the "balls" to sell Ice to Eskimos ...

Don't condone the RNLI bit .... but that's history and lets hope you can come back here later and give us an update ....

Take my word for it , no troll involved , the lad has a talent and he's now going to put it to good use selling marine goodies legally and morally . To do it he has to move to a new town and find a home then get back on the internet with no additional help other than a job offer at the end of it with no basic salary involved . He's not going to sell any more of the RNLI stuff which was the reason people got so annoyed with him so we have a result . The RNLI have been advised of what is going on but I'm not allowed to say too much here because some get a bit annoyed if I say too much but take it from me , he's going to be too busy to mess about with piddling little things like a CD /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

As you raised the question I'm obliged to give a fuller account of events /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Paul has been offered the chance to move from his current home to where my stocks of marine parts are stored , and after finding somewhere to live and arranging an internet connection , he will be listing all the spares I haven't got time to list , on Sailroom .

He's working on commision only and the only condition I made was that he stopped selling imorrally and returned his remaining CDs to the RNLI .

He's basically a young lad that was trying to earn a penny any way he could because he was stuck in a dead end situation , and this accounted for his bitterness towards anyone trying to tell him what to do

He now has an opportunity which he's not likely to mess up , at just the right time because Sailroom is about ready for the changes I've made to kick in and get it moving. So it's all good timing as far as I'm concerned /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
