As a new user I am looking for some assistance in locating exhaust parts for my ageing river cruiser. The exhaust outlets are directed below the waterline and have a transom mounted bracket below the waterline with a directional opening. If I had the correct permissions I could have attached a photograph of the item showing the bracket in good order as at 2009 since then this bracket has either broken away or corroded into the river with another photograph as at todays date. My engines are 2.5ltr Leyland 45hp diesel power units very slow revving and economical. As the marine builders are no longer around I am at a loss as to where to look or what exactly these exhaust components are called ?

Anyone offer help Thanks

Please find attached the photographs of the parts that I seek. The photographs taken in 2009 and most recently 2019 what a difference 10 years makes underwater. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thank you

What you have there is of very little importance so the easiest answer would be to get a couple of stainless steel bends and get your local friendly engineer to weld on brackets to secure them to the transom. I assume there are no silencers inside the boat as the alternative would be to do away with all the fittings on the outside. Fit standard through hull exhaust outlets and water-lock silencers inside. (See Vetus). Overall this is a minor annoyance rather than a big problem!

OK you seem to be worrying to much about a simple problem.

First of all those sure look like Enfield Z drive legs, they are the same as mine see photo attached when I bought my RLM

I do not know if you have silencer/mufflers fitted to your engine raw water discharges, if you do then you can simple remove the underwater section and just discharge above the waterline like my RLM see arrows on attached photo.

Many RLM's were also home builds and at the time not fitted with a silencer/muffler like the Vetus type, so to deadened the engine sound they discharged them underwater, or like my boat just fitted them above the waterline and accepted that the boat sounded great when starting up like the sound of a Harley Davidson motorbike

All good stuff except RLM were all factory built using Senior Hull and Superstructure. Many Seniors were home built hence the confusion. If you have an RLM then it is factory built and the legs (as said) are definitely Enfield 130s.
