Hello PCUK, thank you for your explanation about the Registered Tonnage. That's another new nugget of information I've garnered since joining YBW. As to your question, she will be based at Torpoint, in a boatyard/marina that is a very friendly environment. I'm not overly ambitious and she will be used carefully in the Tamar sound and upriver when the tides allow. The boat is being craned out on Thurday for transport, so I'll check with the crane operator as to what she weighs with all the previous owners gear removed, all water drained and only half a tank of diesel.
 
Hello folks, well, Olympic Dream is now at her mooring at Torpoint and I've been busy getting her ready for a maiden trip when the winds die down. Can someone help me with advice please. The seating/double occasional bed is a raised unit right athwart the rear of the cockpit
but I would prefer to construct a narrow deck level gangway between the two engines, with inward facing seating either side. However I haven't found any photos of this being done and worry that it may affect the structural integrity of the boat. I will try and attach a photo of what exists. Any advice welcome please.
 
Hi All, bought our RLM Bahama last September and love her!

Any of you guys have picture on the canopy struts?
Ours is fine but looks like its been modified at some stage so the strut is directly in the way when you get in or off the boat :(
Keen to check others if anyone has one??

Hi there I've joined this forum just to respond to you. Last week I went on a search just to see if I could find 'The Dream'. We had her from 1997 - 2011. She was loved and tended and is much missed, we have had to give up boating, age and health not helping. She was a bit untidy when we bought her and we refurbished all of the cockpit. If she is still mahogany on the inside that is down to us, maybe a regrettable error but she was a sun bleached teak before. The joy of starting her up at the beginning of the season cannot be described albeit she did smoke the river out on those first days. Spent many a happy hour on her moored further down the Medway. Cruised up and down the river, did a couple of trips up the Thames, a couple around Sheppy and one to the Red Forts in the estuary. When we sold her there was a large file of information included which I believe indicated that she had, in her very early days, motored out to the Channel Islands, no idea of what route was taken. Look after her and she will serve you well. Stay safe.
