Riverside Brasserie Bray

You can lose a point if the paperwork's not right

Oddly I was discussing this with the landlord of our local last week. The local Wetherspoons has a 5 but he has a 4. The reason he gave is that all of his food is self/home prepared whereas the Wetherspoons is prepacked. There is therefore a lot less to judge at Wetherspoons. Oddly, the place of preparation for externally prepared food is not inlcuded in the score of the delivery place.

A 4 is still good.

Fair point. A 4 would be fine for me but given the bad experience of service etc I won't be going anyway.

Umm- a bit pointless as the company went bust earlier this year - the report is for 2013.....

Perhaps the new lot are doing better.

TrueBlue beat me to it by pointing out that the score is irrelevant, since it relates to last year and therefore the restaurant under its previous management.

As for the place in its current guise, best I can hope for is it to go bust, so that we have a chance of getting someone to take over that actually cares about customer service...

An inmate of Bray marina, mentioned to moi, that he tried a sunday lunch there recently.
His comments were that both the food and service left much to be desired, especially as the bill was over twice what you would expect to pay in most independent pubs offering a half decent roast.
