River Usk Launching sites

Anyone from the area of Newport Gwent or better Caerleon know where to launch a 14' Orkney. (towed by a 4WD)

The nearer to Caerleon the better.

The river is tidal, so need a site that can be used for about -3 to + 3 hours either side of HW or best range.

OK,

There was once quite a few slips onto the Usk, but due to new
development and safety issues most have been built over or closed. There is the Usk sailing club at the mouth of the river, you will have to access the Power Station security for this, so I would ring before leaving. I personally would launch at Cardiff and sail around , there is also Beachley under the Seven Bridge but care must be taken due to strong tides.
May I ask what are your intentions, are you going fishing, cruising, sailing etc
