River Thames Guide app updated for 2016

The first 2016 edition of the River Thames Guide is now available in the Apple App Store. If you already have the app it will be updated automatically; if not you can download here:

The main change in this version is the removal of the sponsorship - it is now just down to me! The icon is new to reflect this change.
As well as removing the sponsor's info I have also reduced some of the other data so the app is quicker to download and quicker to open on your device. All the previous features (interactive map, lock and bridge data, river conditions, weather, boating advice and more) remain available. The interactive can be overlayed with marinas, slipways, bridges, locks, eating and resting places, and more. The 'where am I' feature does not work on all devices and hopefully will be fixed in the next version.

Ideas for improving the app will be gratefully received (and might even be implemented!) - feedback is always welcome.

The app works on iPhone, iPad and iPod.

There is an earlier version available in the Amazon App Store - for reasons unknown Amazon changed so that only Amazon devices (rather than any Android) could download from their store. Shame because the Amazon store is easy to use but the Google version (for any Android device) is hard work.

I do plan to relook at Android shortly...
