The free to download and use River Thames Guide app (the complete guide to leisure activity on the Thames and Way Navigation) has been released.
Users with an iPhone and/or iPad (and Apple silicon based Macs who have downloaded the compatible iPad version) will receive the update automatically.
Users on other platforms (Android, Windows, Linux, Intel-based Macs, Google etc) will see the updates when next opening the app.
New users can check for the right download link here.
Over 200 changes and improvements!
Whilst most are cosmetic and designed to make the app easier and more intuitive to use, there is a major overhaul of how river conditions and weather are shown:

- See now and forecast weather for every lock and selected tidal locations (temperature, wind, precipitation, cloud cover, sunrise/set, and more)
- For non-tidal list, lock selection buttons are coloured to match current (EA) conditions
- The tidal list is preceded by the current (PLA) fluvial flag
- AI generated weather warnings shown where appropriate
- UV Index advice (if you need sunscreen) using AI algorithm to include influence of Sun reflecting of water
